Working on a Hedwig costume is something lots of costumers dream of and I wasn’t going to throw away my shot. The director, actor, and I all collaborated on what we wanted to incorporate from the history of the show itself, the film, and our own experiences. This was a fantastic opportunity to put my own spin on an iconic costume that defines an iconic character, and even though my budget was almost nothing, I was able to pull from my own stash of trims and embellishments to bring this character to life.
