The director and I agreed that for recent history like the 1980’s, getting the details correct was vitally important. Audiences see this show so they can remember the time, and what they wore is a huge part of those memories. This presented the challenge of sourcing vintage and retro items like acid wash denim and period shoes, as well as 20 custom styled wigs. I was able to partner with a friend who is a vintage reseller and borrowed many valuable vintage rock and roll tees. The remaining vintage pieces were sourced on eBay and locally in thrift shops.
